MWSC signs 5 contracts with the Ministry of Environment and Energy to provide water supply and sewerage facilities

MWSC has signed contracts with the Ministry of Environment and Energy to provide water supply and sewerage facilities in 5 islands.

Among the Contracts signed today were:

  • Design and build basis for water supply and sewerage facilities in B. Thulhaadhoo
  • Design and build basis for water supply and sewerage facilities in R.Hulhudhuffaaru
  • Design and build basis for water supply and sewerage facilities in N.Velidhoo
  • Design and build basis for water supply and sewerage facilities in Ga.Kolamaafushi
  • Design and build basis for sewerage facilities in GDh. Gadhdhoo

The Contracts were signed by the Managing Director of MWSC, Mr. Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed on behalf of MWSC and the Minister of Environment and Energy Hon. Thoriq Ibrahim.

The projects are funded by OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and are expected to be completed during 2017.
