MWSC has begun work on establishing a 10,000-tonne RO Plant Facility in Hulhumale'

As part of MWSC's Water Security Plan to further strengthen and provide sustainable water services to the Greater Male’ Area, the company has started work on establishing a 10,000-tonne RO plant facility at the Hulhumale’ Operation Center. The groundbreaking ceremony was held today at MWSC's Hulhumale’ Operation Center, where the groundbrealking was initiated by MWSC's Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed, along with board members, senior management officials, and long-serving employees with over 29 years of service to the company.

The work under this project includes the foundation concrete work for the RO facility building with the aim of completing the construction by the end of September this year. Once the building work is finished, two RO plants, each capable of producing 5,000 tonnes of water per day, will be installed.

Upon completion, this facility will play a vital role in enhancing the reliability of water supply to both Malé and Hulhumalé, reinforcing MWSC’s commitment to providing uninterrupted, sustainable access to safe drinking water and sewerage services for all citizens.
