Today marks the 31st anniversary of Male’ Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC). MWSC was established on April 1, 1995, with the primary objective of addressing the critical challenges in water and sanitation services faced by the growing population of Male’. Its establishment represents a significant milestone in improving public health and contributing to the national development of the Maldives.

MWSC has officially commenced physical works to establish a sewerage system in K. Maafushi, alongside the development of water and sewerage infrastructure in the island’s newly reclaimed area. The project was officially commenced by Minister of Construction, Housing & Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Managing Director of MWSC Abdulla Muthalib, Chairperson of MWSC Shamhooza Ahmed, MP for K. Maafushi Constituency Hussain Riza, K. Maafushi council president and vice president.
MWSC Organizes Blood Donation Drive in Collaboration with Maldives Blood Services

MWSC in collaboration with Maldives Blood Services, successfully conducted a blood donation drive for its staff today.
The initiative was organized in response to the recently declared national blood supply emergency, with the aim of supporting Maldives Blood Services in strengthening the country’s blood reserves. It also sought to raise awareness among employees about the vital role blood donation plays in ensuring the continuity of life-saving medical services.

MWSC Participates in Fishermen’s Day Activities in R. Dhuvaafaru

MWSC participated in the Fishermen’s Day celebrations held this year in R. Dhuvaafaru. As part of the national Fishermen’s Day observance, organized by the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, MWSC joined the activities as a Title Sponsor.
Under this sponsorship, MWSC served as the Title Sponsor of the “MWSC Mas Race” and also took part in the “MIFCO Masveringe Haveeru” children’s festival by conducting interactive stall activities. MWSC employees actively participated in the events, contributing to the overall success of the celebrations.

The MWSC Staff Award Night 2025 was held at Male’ City Hall Ground, an annual event celebrating the dedication and achievements of the company’s employees.
This year, the ceremony honored 70 employees for their invaluable service to the company over 10 and 20 years. Additionally, special awards were presented to the most outstanding employees of the year, recognizing their exceptional contributions.
